Orthopedic Surgery at Kimberling Animal Hospital
Kimberling Animal Hospital is excited to be able to offer our community’s pets advanced surgical procedures including orthopedic surgery, which focuses on bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and the body’s skeletal system.
Through the services of Dr. W. Todd Allen, Kimberling Animal Hospital can be a resource for families whose pets need specialty surgical services. Dr. Allen will be available on a regular basis for the following advanced surgical procedures:
Knee/Stifle Surgery – including Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) repair using Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO), ACL Extracapsular Repair, Patella Luxations and more.
Hip Procedures – including FHO (removal of the hip joint) and Hip Denervation (substitute for hip replacement) and more.
Dr. Allen is a 1989 honor graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine and completed extensive residency training in small animal surgery at the University of Minnesota. Since then he has provided advanced small animal surgery in multi-specialty referral practices in the St. Louis area until forming his own mobile practice in 2010.
In addition to 30+ years of experience practicing orthopedics, oncologic, thoracoabdominal and neurosurgery, Dr. Allen has advanced training in radiology and anesthesiology/pain management. He is a seasoned member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Veterinary Orthopedic Society, International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, Greater St. Louis Veterinary Medical Association, Veterinary Information Network and the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association.
