Cancelled Appointments
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice when cancelling an appointment, or 48 hours’ notice for surgical appointments. Veterinary care is in high demand, and advance notice allows us to offer your slot to another pet on our waiting list who needs care.
Our team works long, dedicated shifts to care for your pets with compassion and skill, and we’re so grateful for them. Missed appointments directly impact our ability to support and compensate the people who make this care possible — so your courtesy in giving us notice means a great deal.
Deposits
To help keep our schedule running smoothly, we require deposits for the following appointments:
- New clients: a deposit equal to the current physical exam fee
- Surgical appointments: a $100 deposit
How deposits work
- Cancellations: If you cancel 24+ hours before an exam or 48+ hours before a surgery, your deposit will be refunded to your card.
- Rescheduling: If you reschedule within the same time frames (24+ hours for exams, 48+ hours for surgeries), your deposit stays on your account with no penalty and will be applied at checkout on the day of your rescheduled visit.
- No-shows or late cancellations: If an appointment isn’t cancelled or rescheduled within the required window and the appointment is missed, the deposit will be forfeited.
Repeated No-Shows or Late Cancellations
These deposit requirements also apply to clients with more than one no-show, no-call, or late cancellation (less than 24 hours’ notice for exams or 48 hours for surgeries), including technician appointments.
After a second missed or late-cancelled appointment, a fee for the missed appointment time will be applied (per pet, if more than one was scheduled). This fee, along with a deposit for the next visit, must be paid before we can schedule another appointment.
Thank you so much for your understanding — it helps us continue providing the best possible care for every pet in our community
